Back to Magic
There are various ways for your character to learn spells. First, you can attend classes. Teachers can +teach spells. Secondly, you can find another student to teach you. Anyone who knows a spell can roleplay passing that knowledge on to another student. This is also done by the +teach command, however in some cases, especially with difficult spells, several sessions will need to be submitted to signify the passing of an appropriate amount of time for 'learning' that spell. Third, you can allow time to pass. At the end of each school year, students completing a year will be given access to that entire year's list of spells. For instance. In June, all first years becoming second years will automatically be able to access all first year spells. Note: if a spell is added via the original spells submissions, you will automatically be allowed to use the spell if it is appropriate for your year. It will be assumed that it was part of your studies, not that it is a newly discovered bit of magic. |
