Durendal rides in the coach with Malinda to the funeral
She confronts him about Kromman's death and he admits that he is sure the Blades did it for revenge for Wolfbiter. He then strongly suggests that she should go to Ironhall to bind blades of her own.
At this time Malinda declines
Malinda confronts him about other things and begins to realize that perhaps she had a warped impression of what he'd done and why
Courtney rides in the coach with Malinda on the way back from the funeral
He lays out the politics of the situation and tells her that he will be leaving court and retiring to Mayshire to get out of the line of fire, he suggests she might want to plan a trip to Baelmark to retrieve her belongings that were on the ship
Once she arrives at Grandon, Malinda gets word to Durendal that she has changed her mind and would like to make the trek to Ironhall

369.04.02 The swearing-in ceremony; the Lord Protector plans an investigation of the death of King Ambrose IV. He seems ready to disband the blades
Malinda's blades are banned from the state banquet which effectively bans her

369.04.07~ The Lord Protector finally summons Malinda; they talk, argue, threaten one another.. He finally warns her that she will be married off and that the blades are ended
That night Malinda goes to bed alone with a flask of spiced wine... she asks Dog to deflower her so she will no longer be worth as much as a bride.. somehow in the course of events she decides she wants him as her lover
The next day she confesses to Audley and makes arrangements so she can spend her nights with Dog as often as possible
That evening she receives a letter from "Stealth" warning her that the Royal Guard will be removed and telling her to trust no one but her blades
Two days later the Royal Guard vanishes when the Council of Regency decides that Beaufort would be a more suitable residence for the young king during his childhood
Shortly after that Malinda is summoned to council as it investigates her father's death
The inquiries continue over a few days with each day getting progressively more combative. Finally she is told that she will be being moved to Ness Royal; she asks for a meeting to be arranged with Stealth
Stealth is revealed to be Durendal
The group tries to figure out how to get Malinda away safely and Winter comes up with the idea of her heading to Ness Royal immediately rather than waiting for the escort
369.04.15~ Three days after leaving Grandon, Malinda arrives in Ness Royal and begins to set up her home there.
A week later the Black Riders arrive and set up a camp around the Gatehouse
Three days later Sister Moment and the rest arrive
369.05 The Duke and Duchess of Brinton come to visit
369.06 Life continues; no summons to return to Grandon for her wedding
369.07 Baelish raiding is at an all time high and there are more and more rumours about the Blades being disbanded

The Council discovers that Malinda has released Neville and from that time on pretty much decides to make its decisions without her

The Council also decides it needs several more members and Malinda appoints the half dozen names selected
369.09.18 On the twelfth day of her reign, Malinda heads to Ironhall to bind blades and also to knight three who were damaged beyond repair during the Wetshore Massacre
