| It is July of 1998. Harry and his peers have graduated from
Hogwarts. Cornelius Fudge remains head of the Ministry of Magic &
in a typical political turn around rather than continue to discredit
Albus Dumbledore & his claims that 'He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named' has
returned now stands by him full force. It was revealed that the
Ministry had backed Hogwart's Headmaster all along, the public shaming
actually a ruse to allow Lord Voldemort to feel cocky & show his
hand.
And show that gnarled & wicked hand he did. But too soon. At the end of Harry's fifth year he & his army took action but the Order of the Phoenix & the Ministry's aurors were prepared & so the evil one took himself into hiding, leaving most of his Death Eaters exposed. Azkaban's dementors had never dined so well. Voldemort, with few allies, sought a new source of power, over a year went by a veritable 'calm before the storm' before rumours started surfacing from Eastern Europe. Rumours of an increase in the dark creature population, rumours that remained just that until culminating in an open act of maleficence. An orphanage in Russia was attacked & every living child inside transformed from human to inhuman. A new army of lycanthropes & vampires, strong & with an unbreakable allegiance to their new father. Harry is training as an Auror with the Ministry of Magic. He visits Hogwarts regularly, often acting as a quidditch coach but mainly as a liason to the students who are interested in entering the Ministry upon graduation. Professor Lupin has returned to Hogwarts to teach Defence against the Dark Arts, never has the school needed it more. Hermione is also back, working as a research assistant and helping to catalogue more efficiently the library. Fred and George have bought out Zonko's and are living in Hogsmeade and Ron has just recently moved in with them, although he is currently employed at the Three Broomsticks, working for Madam Rosmerta. It is currently summer and there are several weeks before the term begins with a new class of first years. Ginny will be a Seventh year as will Colin Creevey so we will see what their final year has in store. |
