frozen heartbeat
suspended in time
for a second, hour, eternity or more
fragile fire
that is life's kiss
fades to ash
and the once brilliant flicker
is absolved in ebony
a fantasy
or is it phantom
rises in perfection
of absolute authority
barring indecision
