frozen in the eternity of a stare
when eye meets eye
and soul touches soul
like a brush of fettered lightning
an instant turns to minutes to hours
til there is no time to speak
beyond a hurried farewell
with a million words left wasted
like gems poured out and lost
each shining brilliantly as
it falls out of sight...out of reach
