blinded by a light
only meant to heal
promised relief
turned to bitter poison
when left to grow
in the obsidian depths of oblivion
why now?
after the expiration of a promise
never meant to be broken
dry eyes face tomorrow
with the blank stare
left when one glimpes forbidden paradise
