to fall from grace
at the sight of your eyes
and the touch of your hands
would be a price too small
to cause question or loss
and the gain much more mine
if at a word or with a sign
you promised more
without a thought or even breath
the vow is matched
in blood for blood
and thought for thought
as soul to soul
is met and won
forever is but a second
and hours far too short
but spent alone
each instant is a tiny death
multiplied to infinity
