i walk eyes wide into the trap
welcoming it with open arms
to tumble headlong into the grey-green heaven
a momentary perfection
risked for mere pleasure
and at what cost?
the price is not yet known
minutes to hours to days
the countdown begins
and what then...
physical salvation
moral ruin
or both falling to disaster
a short time more
