Hatred
You taught me hatred
a lesson i did not crave
but you thought i needed to learn it anyway
you taught me pain and despair
and when i had learned those well
you abandoned me and forced me to learn anguish
and yet.. it was i who allowed you to become the teacher
it was i who believed you would never truly hurt me
and who placed you in that position to be so cruel
you are evil
you are pain
but i was the one who allowed it to creep into my soul
and so i am just as much to blame
and perhaps more so.
