i love you
you are my idol
a false god
i teeter in the balance
knowing better
but defy my obedience with love
(or is it lust)
not of stone or gold
but of flesh and bone
mortal like me
but deified in my worship
and adoration
what right do i have
to set you on such a pedestal
to risk your life
(or is it soul)
...
none but selfish desire
