Cleaning the Garage
i saw two spiders yesterday
and i thought of you
what choice did i have
they were wrapped in the webs
of what appeared to be
a year of days
heavy festoons of rotten lace
one appeared to be a black widow
and i thought of you
what choice did i have
i selected a stick
and was going to nudge lightly to be certain
but then thought
do i enjoy being pushed out of my comfort zone
and so i left well enough alone
and went on my way
and i thought of you
what choice did i have
